Battlefield Hardline – A Departure From the Norm

EA came out with what exactly their teased new title Battlefield: Hardline is. If you’ve been getting burnt out on the “soldiers at war” saturation of the gaming scene then Hardline is going to bring a smile to your face. Lets play as some cops and robbers.

You read that right, Hardline is taking the Battlefield series into the cops and criminals arena. One team is playing the city’s finest and the other is channeling their inner-villain and trying their best to perform some nefarious deed, depending on the game mode.

If the idea of being a cop or a criminal sounds like fun to you, I’ve got more good news to blow your mind with. There is a beta if you’re playing on the PC or the PS4. Want to be even more excited? It’s already up and going and you can sign up for it right now. Be quick about it, it’s a closed beta and there will be limited spaces.

My Opinion:

Hardline looks like such a breath of fresh air. I am horribly burnt out on military shooters, be they Battlefield or Call of Duty,so the idea of Hardline taking up the development time and resources that would normally be used for some “new” military shoot’em up makes me over-joyed. On top of that, cops and robbers has always been a fun game and it looks like Hardline is planning to make their first step into this arena stand out by making it rather over the top. I’m ready to get my hands on this.
