Quantum Break Delayed Until 2015

Quantum Break on Xbox One has officially been delayed until 2015.

Remedy Entertainment’s Sam Lake revealed the new release window, as well as announced that Quantum Break will not be shown at E3 — instead the game will make an appearance at Gamescom in August.

The announcement was made in the following video, which also includes new gameplay footage and information about the Quantum Break TV series tie-in.

Quantum Break is the first 2014 Xbox One exclusive to be delayed so far, unless you count the stealthy Halo 5 delay.

My Opinion:

Lately all we have heard about is PlayStation 4 delays and how much it is going to hurt Sony this Fall.  With now both Quantum Break and Halo 5 not launching until 2015, the Xbox One exclusive lineup is starting to thin out as well.  I’m sick of seeing fanboys screaming out that delays are going to kill one console or another, or that they wasted their money on a console because of them.  Both Microsoft and Sony were breathing down developers necks to get their games ready before the release of the current generation of consoles, so it doesn’t surprise me in the least that we’ve seen so many delays lately.  Hopefully this means that Quantum Break will end up being an awesome game when it finally arrives next year.

    1. This is the title I am waiting on to sell me on an Xbox One. I want one really bad, but just not enough games I am interested in at this point. Quantum Break def has the potential to force my hand

      1. Dead Rising 3 is really fun, Forza 5 is the best racing sim I’ve ever played and timed exclusives like Super TIME Force and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare have been great additions to the lineup. Once Fable Legends, Quantum Break, and Sunset Overdrive, they’ll be no excuse not to own an Xbox One lol. Sunset Drive looks ridiculous, but I neeed it.

        1. DR3 is a game I would love to play, but it certainly isn’t a selling point for me. and I am not a racing fan at all. Fable Legends has a long way to go to sell me on it. I am a traditional Fable fan so I don’t know if I like the direction they are going. Sunset Overdrive does look ridiculous. I can’t wait to see more about it =)

          1. I’m not big into racing games at all, but I still had a good time with it. DR3 definitely isn’t worth $600 bucks, though haha. Fable Legends reminds me a lot of classic Fable in terms of character/monster design. We’ll see how this whole Dungeon Master/4-Player Co-op thing works out.
