Ready at Dawn, developer of The Order: 1886, has confirmed that the aforementioned game will be single-player only.
Late last year when GameInformer asked them about multiplayer, they hadn’t made up their minds about it yet. “At the end of the day, we want to do right by the IP first,” said the game’s creative director Ru Weerasuriya.
It was confirmed recently in an interview with German website play3.de that The Order:1886 will not include multiplayer when Weerasuriya described the game as a “single-player action game.” Ready at Dawn founder Andrea Pessino then confirmed this info in a tweet.

The Order: 1886 is set to be released later this year exclusively on PlayStation 4.
My Opinion:
This does not bother me in the least. The Order: 1886 is one of my most anticipated games this year. I have started to resent companies that try and shove multiplayer into a game, which in turn makes the single player experience suffer. I want Ready at Dawn to make this the best single-player experience possible, and if that means no multiplayer, more power to them.
