It has been announced that the fourth and final game in the Arkham series will be called Arkham Knight, and will launch sometime in 2014 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
The magazine Game Informer revealed that Arkham Knight takes place in a significantly larger Gotham City than the previous games, and will feature the Batmobile for the first time in the series’ history. Multiple villains will be featured, including Penguin, Two Face, Harley Quin, and Scarecrow (Yes!).
“We kind of feel like this is the natural end to the story,” says Rocksteady co-founder Sefton Hill in an interview. “We want to kind of go out in style.”
We do not have a firm release date yet, though it is mentioned that it will be sometime in 2014. We will be sure to make another post when the official release date is shown.
My Opinion
I’ve never been a big super hero guy, but I’ve always liked Batman, and especially the Arkham games. I’m excited to return and see what the developers can do without having to think about the previous generation of consoles.
