Minato Namikaze has been revealed as a playable character in the latest Naruto game. The information comes via a scan from Jump, the popular manga magazine. In Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution players can select Minato Namikaze and even team up with Naruto for combination moves.
Fans of the Naruto series know Namikaze as the Fourth Hokage, possessing a pivotal relationship with Naruto and being a child ninja prodigy. He joins a roster consisting of over a 100 playable and support characters in the new game, which also boasts a new fighting system and character designs.
Expect to see Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution in stores in September when it releases for both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. For more information on the game check out the trailer below.

My Opinion:
Naruto was one of the first anime I really got into. I stopped watching before the series progressed to the Shippuden era, so I’m not familiar with the character of Minato Namikaze. Even though I didn’t know of him or many of the other characters in the game , I have to say the cell-shaded look is pretty much spot-on with the look of the series. From looking at the trailer above, the game appears to offer much for fans of the popular character. If it doesn’t deliver, players could always wait until the next game. It seems everytime I turn around there is a new Dragon Ball Z or Naruto game, so they must move units. In one area the game has already succeeded for sure, having a lengthy title.
