Be excited. Firmware update 2.02 is now available for PlayStation 4.
Sony PlayStation announced Monday, via Twitter, that another update was coming and followed that up with a release on the following day. As you may know, Sony released their biggest update at the end of October, Firmware 2.0. But it caused a bevy of issues. Most notably, causing systems to not wake up from “Rest Mode.”
Sony acted quickly by releasing 2.01 about a week later, to address the Rest Mode issue, among other things. The release of Firmware version 2.02 is being released to address stability issues and, more specifically, an issue with Dragon Age: Inquisition which was causing review copies of the game to crash.
My Opinion:
Not that they have much of a choice, but it’s nice to see Sony acting so quickly to address all the problems that firmware updates, inevitably cause. It’s something they clearly need to stay on top of, for damage control purposes.
