Pachter Strikes Again

Industry analyst Michael Pachter is continuing his recent assault on Sony.  Several days ago, he said that PlayStation Now is “a joke” and is now saying that Sony doesn’t have much in the way of first party content.

The remark is a response to Geoff Keighley who, on the last episode of Bonus Round responded to Pachter’s PlayStation Now bashing saying “But you know, Sony has a lot of first-party content,” Pachter responded with “Saying they have a lot is a stretch. Thirty. They have thirty games.”

He’s clearly only taking into account recent PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 releases, completely discounting the entire backlog of amazing games. Which are only available on Sony platforms.

My Opinion

Look, I don’t like Michael Pachter, I’ll be the first to say it, but this goes beyond the usual Michael Pachter predictions or opinion. Saying Sony doesn’t have a lot of first party content is just wrong, and I’ll leave it at that.
