Konami has confirmed today that the retail price for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be dropped to $30 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game; now in line with the digital version of the game. The price drop also extends to the UK.
It was also confirmed that the PlayStation 3 digital version of the game will now cost only $20.
Ground Zeroes has recently come under fire for its $40 price tag for the physical version, when the game supposedly only lasts around two hours. It seems that Konami has listened to the angry consumers and lowered the price accordingly.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will launch on March 18th in the U.S, and March 20th in the United Kingdom.
My Opinion
Perfection! Well, sort of. I think it’s still too much to pay for such a short game, but I think they certainly roped in quite a few more people with the price drop, which is always good for them.
