Developer Atlus has confirmed that their upcoming game, Persona 5, will launch in Japan in the winter of 2014, and at an undisclosed date in 2015 for western territories. The teaser site for the game also has a new trailer, which you can see below.

Persona 5 is the highly anticipated fifth installment in the long running Persona series, which we haven’t seen in a generation. It was assumed by some that the game may not be localized in the west, but with this news, we can all put those fears to rest.

My Opinion

I’ve never played any of the Persona games, I didn’t even know they existed until I started hanging around IGN. I’m not really a fan of JRPGs, but I know a lot of people who are, and for those people, I’m happy it’s getting localized.
