BioWare Montreal Studio Director, Yanick Roy, said that development for the next Mass Effect is “somewhere in the middle.” A fan tweeted at Roy earlier in the month asking which stage of development the next Mass Effect is in. Roy responded with “Too late for one, too early for the other… So i guess we’re somewhere in the middle?”
At the end of 2013, Aaryn Flynn of BioWare Edmonton, responded to a fan asking about the next Mass Effect by saying “More info sometime in 2014 I hope.” As of now, we do not know when more information is coming and there is no release date for the next Mass Effect. We do not even know if it will be named Mass Effect 4. According to Eurogamer, BioWare Community Manager Chris Priestly said, “To call the next game Mass Effect 4 or ME4 is doing it a disservice and seems to cause a lot of confusion here.”
My Opinion
BioWare has not said much about the next Mass Effect, but judging by the quotes they are about ready to start hyping it up. BioWare has not confirmed whether they will be at E3, but if they want to get people’s attention in 2014, E3 is a great time to do it. I believe they will be there with a lot to show.
