With very little fanfare, Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is coming to the Wii U Virtual Console.
This news come you directly from Nintendo’s game listings on their website, where they listed the famous GBA title with other upcoming indie games.

While The Minish Cap has been available to Wii U owners in Japan since April 30th, the North America release date is still uncertain.
For a brief background on The Minish Cap, it is the second game in The Legend of Zelda timeline, following Skyward Swords . The game currently holds an 89 on Metacritic, cementing it as one of the most iconic and memorable GBA titles.

With the exception of the 3DS Ambassadors Program, this will be The Minish Cap’s first appearance on Nintendo Virtual Consoles.
Interestingly enough, TheMinish Cap is the first critically acclaimed Zelda title to be crafted by a third-party (Capcom). For more details on incoming third-party Zelda titles, make sure to check the new details on Tecmo Koei’s Games’ Hyrule Warriors.
My Opinion:
To date, I have not sunk any money into the Wii U Virtual Console GBA selections. However, there are some really great titles at the party, The Minish Cap being no exception. When I’m more financially able, this is going right on my list… with every other GBA title.
