Storybreak Studios and Techland (Dead Island) launched a new game for the App Store called Hellraid: The Escape. In the game, you must explore a vast dungeon full of enemies and puzzles to solve as you try to escape through Hell. A new trailer highlights the dangers you might face as you descend into madness.
Storybreak Studios is hoping to take full advantage by using the Unreal Engine. This will allow Hellraid: The Escape to have PC and console like quality on a iPad. Storybreak Studios has promised that there will be no pay-to-win or in-app purchases, and any updates that expand the game will be free.
Hellraid: The Escape looks to be a prequel, or at least a stand alone, to the game Hellraid releasing next year for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Hellraid: The Escape is only compatible with iPad 2 and up, iPhone 4S and up, and iPod Touch 5th Generation devices. Hellraid: The Escape is available now on the App Store for $2.99.
My Opinion:
I’m not that sure about having enemies in the game, but going through what looks like Hell by solving puzzles has the potential to be fun. Having free updates that expand the game may add life into this new franchise.
