Liven up! Blizzard announced more details including pricing for the first single player expansion for their collectable card game Hearthstone Curse of Naxxramas. Curse of Naxxramas takes players on (literally) death-defying adventures through the floating necropolis of Naxxramas, challenging bosses and the undead along the way.

Players who play Curse of Naxxramas during the launch event will have free access to the first wing: the Arachnid Wing. After, Naxxramas will open a new wing in its dungeons each week, one wing at a time. Players may purchase individual wings for $6.99 or 700 gold, or may purchase multiple wings at a $2 discount in bundles with prices varying from $24.99 to $9.99.
Curse of Naxxramas will implement a Heroic Mode, which allows players to return to fight significantly more difficult versions of previous bosses. Defeating all of the bosses in Heroic Mode will unlock a new card back for players’ collections. Curse of Naxxramas will be available on the PC, Mac, and iPad July 2014.
My Opinion:
The one thing Blizzard could have done to improve upon Hearthstone, which is already insanely fun and challenging, is to launch an adventure mode. Hearthstone is undoubtedly one of most favorite games as of late, but I do have to admit that it can get repetitive after a while. You can hardly blame Blizzard in wanting to cash in on some of Hearthstone’s future success with Curse of Naxxramas. With that in mind, I think the pricing is very reasonable, especially when you consider the fact that players do not necessarily have to pay out of their own pocket to unlock wings. I can’t wait to test it out!
