Sony’s critically acclaimed exclusive, The Last of Us, has exceeded 7 million units sold since its release, according Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer.
Along with this announcement, Naughty Dog also confirmed new multiplayer DLC that will come later this year. This DLC will also be available for cross-buy between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog also confirmed previous statements that the developer is not working on single-player DLC and has no plans to.
The Last of Us: Remastered is set to release later this month on PlayStation 4. The updated version comes with enhanced graphics and framerates, as well as the previously released DLC.
My Opinion:
The Last of Us is one of my favorite games of all time, so its continued success is great thing in my opinion. I think it will be interesting to see how The Last Us: Remastered sells. Regardless, I am excited to hear that Naughty Dog is still supporting the multiplayer component.
