Leaked copies of The Last of Us: Remastered reveal that it could have something close to a 50GB install size.

On PlayStation 3, Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic masterpiece originally launched with a 50MB install size for those who purchased the retail copy.  Those who bought the title digitally were treated to a 26GB install size.

The Last of Us: Remastered launches July 29th in North America and features improved visuals along with all of the previously released downloadable content.

My Opinion:

The Last of Us: Remastered is a day one purchase for me. However, I think these install sizes are getting out of control.  As developers become more acquainted with this new tech I hope they figure out how to compress their games more efficiently.
