Weekends are meant strictly for gaming; at least that’s what we think. Here is where you can find out all of our crazy plans for the upcoming weekend!

 

Courtney Osborn, Founder & Editor in Chief:

I’ll be playing The Last of Us: Remastered Factions mode and Conception II all weekend. =) Hit me up on PSN at osborn2009

 

Myles Farrington, Senior Editor:

I’ve got tonight and tomorrow off. I plan to kick back and relax. As for what I’ll be doing, god knows. Hahaaa, relaxation!

 

Aaron Dobbe, Associate Writer:

This weekend, I’m gonna be playing a bunch of the most addictive, intense, and soul-crushing board game ever: Riichi Mahjong. None of those three adjectives were sarcastic. Seriously, this game is not for the faint of heart.

That’s not to say I won’t be gaming as well. Usual suspects Persona 3 FES and Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate are gonna get some playtime, as well as Wario’s Woods and Dragon’s Crown. (It’s like Diablo, but fun!)

 

Andrew Lee, Associate Writer:

I finally got myself a copy of Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita). This will be my first Persona game and I don’t know why it has taken me this long to get around playing it. Hopefully, it lives up to the high expectations I have for the series after hearing nothing but praise for the franchise and the game.

 

Benjamin Luthi, Associate Writer:

This weekend will be all about the classics for me. Wario Land II, Paper Mario, and the original Mario Golf. If I get tired of those (unlikely), then maybe I’ll make some tracks on Trials: Fusion. That is, if I can finish before the game crashes (also unlikely).

 

Dustin LaRoe, Associate Writer:

I didn’t even realize that the weekend was already here. I guess I’ll continue my slog through Watch_Dogs but I’m having trouble caring about it.

I might go ahead and pay for my EA Access pass so I can try out all those EA games I skipped. Idunno, I skipped ’em for a reason.

 

Harry Loizides, Associate Writer:

I was able to get a copy of the GameBoy Advance version of Advance Wars, and I am hooked. So intriguing, strategy driven and most importantly-fun! I will be occupying myself with this for a while.

 

Jake Dekker, Associate Writer:

This is yet another weekend of travel so I will primarily be playing my PlayStation Vita again.  I am still chugging away at the Jak & Daxter Collection so hopefully I’ll make some progress on that.  Also I plan on trying this months free PlayStation Plus games.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I am still grinding away at Dark Souls 2 on my spare time, which has been almost all of my homework time.  Since my online class is over on Sunday, I will likely play Dark Souls 2 tomorrow and then finish my class with an hour or so to spare on the following day.  

Man, I love school.

 

Mike Morrissette, Associate Writer:

So, recently there was a Square Enix sale on the PSN – So I snatched up a bunch of the PsP and PS1 Final Fantasy games. The only thing though, is that I’m still moving everything out of my old apartment and into my new one, so I haven’t had much time to do any gaming, and this weekend will be no different sadly.  /cry

 

Patrick Garrity, Associate Writer:

This weekend I will be finishing The Last of Us.  And then to start my backlog…. but I did just resub to Warcraft……

 

Ryan Latuso, Associate Writer:

If I can ever download the right files, I’ll play Uncharted 3. For those that have download UC3, you know what I’m talking about.  I’m also going to keep working on my 3rd Last of Us play through and get some trophies.

 

Scott Deisner, Associate Writer:  

For any of our Podcast Beyond readers, I was the Scott who was featured near the end of the cast, so I’ll be making small preparations in my Minecraft world.  I’ve also been working through a game of XCOM:Enemy Within, where I’ve been bolstering my soldiers to be a powerful as they can be.  

 

Tyler Bartlemus, Associate Writer:

I finally picked up a copy of Pokemon X, so I will be working my way through that this weekend. I will also hopefully be finishing up my playthrough of Fire Emblem: Awakening. I have been taking my time with the game, and I am trying to accomplish everything I can. Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!
