Sledgehammer Games showed off a new campaign demo during Xbox’s Gamescom press conference for their highly anticipated upcoming game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
The level shown was called Collapse (see the demo below). During the demo, players start out in a vehicle and travel to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Eventually the player comes to a stop and finds that civilians are running in the opposite direction because there are enemies ahead. The next several minutes show off how great the gameplay looks, along with many of the new features that will be in this iteration of Call of Duty. The mission ends when the player opens a van to find out that there are enemy drones in it. They fly out and attach themselves to the support wires of the bridge and explode, making the bridge collapse, killing scores of people left on the bridge.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
My Opinion:
They managed to show off another awesome demo! Yesterday’s multiplayer reveal got me excited, but I still wasn’t sure about how the campaign would be. This demo reassured me that it will most likely be a good one. I can’t wait to get my hands on this!
