Bloodborne Release Date Revealed

After a Japanese trailer for the game, Shuhei Yoshida revealed the launch date for From Software’s highly anticipated PlayStation 4 title, which is set for February 5, 2015.

Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls, both made by From Software, were very large hits amongst hard core gamers not only in Japan, but around the world.  Sony could have claimed the Dark Souls IP as their own but neglected to, not realizing the game would be such a hit.  Bloodborne is in a sense, Sony’s way of making up for that mistake.

The gameplay for the PS4 title has been described as being more ‘arcadey’ by some in comparison to the other Souls games.  Supposedly, Bloodborne’s gameplay will be more offensive focused as opposed to its more defensive focused predecessors.  The game is said to have toned down slightly in difficulty from its brothers, and added mechanics like dodging and a faster gameplay style.

My Opinion:
It’s great to see a release date for Bloodborne, but February 5, 2015 is a Thursday, so that’s a bit unusual. Is this release date only for Japan? Will it be adjusted to Friday or Tuesday for North America? Regardless, the date is set for somewhere, so the excitement can still continue!
