The ESRB released a few notes on Dragon Age: Inquisition, and they don’t disappoint when expanding on the game’s violence and sexual encounters.
As is the case with every ESRB rating, the letter on the package is further elaborated by searching for a “rating summary” on the ESRB site. If you’ve found yourself there in the past, you probably know that some of the descriptions can seem awkward or funny when taken out of context.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is less than a month from its release date (November 18th in North America). The game has been rated M(ature) for blood, intense violence, nudity, sexual content and strong language. The ESRB explains:
“Cutscenes sometimes depict characters impaled or getting their throats slit. Violent sequences are often highlighted by cries of pain, gurgling/gushing sounds, and large blood-splatter effects; blood remains on the ground in several environments.”
And after the gorier features have gotten attention, the summary tries to tackle what players can expect from the more erotic scenes.
“[…] a female character briefly depicted in front of a man’s torso (fellatio is implied); characters depicted topless or with exposed buttocks while lying in bed or after sex; some dialogue referencing sex/sexuality (e.g., ‘I will bring myself sexual pleasure later, while thinking about this with great respect’” and “The way your t*ts bounce when I pin your arms and take you on the side of the bed…”).”
Dragon Age: Inquisition launches November 18th in North America, November 20th in Australia, and November 21st in Europe. It will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Earlier this month, Bioware confirmed that the game’s resolution would be 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PlayStation 4.
My Opinion:
I’m a huge Dragon Age fan, so any news about it makes me more excited about its impending release, even if it’s a little silly. At the very least, we can safely assume that the next installment of the series will be an entertaining experience. With dialogue like that, how can your followers not swoon?

(fellatio is implied)….. lol
