Tony Hawk announces new games

Pro Skater Tony Hawk announced that new games are coming in his long dormant franchise.

In a tweet this morning, Hawk announced that new entries in the once popular game series would be making their return sometime in 2015.

Hawk is collaborating with Activision, with titles coming to both mobile and consoles. This makes sense as Neversoft, the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater developers, were acquired back in 2006 by Activision. Back in February, Hawk had stated that the game would be exclusive to smartphones and tablets, which is no longer the case.

My Opinion:

I used to be a huge fan of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games, but like most people, my interest tapered out later in the franchise. The series was wise to stay out of the limelight for a bit, seeing as I am pretty excited to see its return.

It especially makes me happy to see know that a console version of the game is coming out.
