PlayStation TV Price Drop

It’s only been a month since the launch of PlayStation TV in North America, and it has already seen a price drop.

As of the writing of this story, you can purchase the standalone PS TV for $79.99 (reg. $99.99) and the PS TV Bundle for $99.99 (reg. $139.99) from GameStop and Amazon.

The bundle comes with the console, a DualShock 3 controller, an 8 GB memory card, and a copy of The LEGO Movie Videogame.

So far there is no word from Sony on whether this will be a permanent price drop or just a holiday deal.  We will update you when we know more.

My Opinion:

If this is a permanent price drop, it will be strange news.  A holiday deal, like Xbox’s $50 price drop for the Xbox One, makes a lot of sense.  It’s hard to fathom a price drop only a month after release.  Word is that PS TV is not selling very well, which would be the only reason for such an early price drop.
