Naughty Dog Inc. announced that there are new add-ons for the multiplayer mode of The Last of Us: Remastered.

 

The DLC was featured during the PlayStation Experience, with players being able to experience the new Factions mode add-on at the event. The add-ons were elaborated upon in the PlayStation Blog which revealed the inclusion of new weapons, headgear, survival skills, and more.

The Tactical Weapons, including the Tactical Shotgun, Burst Pistol, Frontier Rifle, and Crossbow, can be bought separately for $0.99 each with the Tactical Weapons bundle being $2.99. A Survival Skill bundle is available for $3.99, which grants players the Second Chance skill that gives players an extra health pack when you take more than half damage and have no other health packs, as well as many other skills such as the Lone Wolf, Jack of All Trades, Lucky Break, and Lethal Efficiency.

In addition to weapons add-ons, there are cosmetic add-ons in the form the Misfit Head Item bundle, featuring a Viking Hat, Plague Mask, Smiley Mask, Outlaw Mask, and so much more all for $6.99. There are also two new Gesture bundles for $2.49 each, so you can knock off your enemies and brag about it afterwards.

While all of these are available for the PlayStation 4, the Special Executions bundle is not PlayStation 3. All of these add-ons are available for purchase at the PlayStation Store.

My Opinion:

I’m not a big fan of buying remastered games unless I REALLY like them, and I would definitely buy this game (if I had a PlayStation 4). The add-ons, however, aren’t doing too much for me so I probably wouldn’t buy them. I can see how they would be beneficial to multiplayer mode though, especially with the Survival Skill bundle
