We’ve recently learned more about what the Sony-owned development studio, Santa Monica Studio, is working on, and it seems that more info is to come soon. The developer promised, via Twitter, that we’d hear more information about other titles they are working on in 2015.
“Our External Development Team works with our partners hand-in-hand, its an extremely collaborative process with each. We’ll share a lot more insight into our external dev team family in 2015, it’s an intricate collaborative process.”
Back at the first annual PlayStation Experience, Santa Monica Studio announced three new games coming through their external dev program; Wattam, What Remains of Edith Finch and Fat Princess Adventures. We also learned that a new God of War game is in the works, though not much information is known at this time. Santa Monica Studio certainly seems confident in it though, stating that “We are making a bad ass AAA game.”
Stay tuned to MONG in the new year for more information on projects coming from Santa Monica Studio, and everything else PlayStation.
My Opinion:
I love the work that Santa Monica Studio does, including the titles that are released with their help under the external development team program. I like knowing more about what these teams are working on and how their process works, so it’s nice to hear that more info isn’t far off. What I am really excited for though is a new God of War game on PlayStation 4. I can only imagine what will be possible with the power of the PS4!

I can’t lie, I love me some Kratos killing! It’s nice to see this studio working with other development teams to put out a good amount of smaller more unique titles. Anything in particular people are looking forward to?
