During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that select Wii titles will be coming to the Wii U.
The titles announced are Super Mario Galaxy 2, Punch Out! and Metroid Prime Trilogy. Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be available shortly after today’s presentation (which has already ended, by the way). Punch Out! will release on January 22nd and Metroid Prime Trilogy comes short thereafter, on January 29th.
The titles will be available for half price for a week after their release. More Wii titles are coming to the Nintendo eShop in the future, so this is only the beginning.
I fell off the Nintendo wagon awhile ago so there’s tons of titles from their backlog that I am interested in. I’ve never played the Galaxy games or the Metroid Prime series, so this announcement was particularly sweet to my ears.
Nintendo games are known for retaining their value (prices rarely drop on their games) so I’m interested to see the pricing for these titles.
