You will be unable to redeem stars on your Club Nintendo account starting March 31st/April 1st (depending on your region.)
After many years, Nintendo has announced that Club Nintendo will be closing for good. However, Nintendo is planning a new loyalty program with new rewards. Furthermore, as well as offering more physical and digital rewards, Nintendo promised that Flipnote Studio 3D will be free for all Club Nintendo members.
An official notice has been put up on the Nintendo of America, Europe, Australia and Japan websites.
My Opinion:
I’m sad that Club Nintendo has closed down; but this isn’t surprising considering how you can’t register the New 3DS or New 3DS XL. However, I’m really excited about the new rewards program. I’m hoping for a PS Plus style subscription service with Virtual Console or eShop games. I’d also like trophies.
