More Amiibo Support Coming to Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

In a recent announcement, owners of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker can finally incorporate a slew of amiibo into the game with an upcoming update.

In a previous Nintendo Direct, it was mentioned that the new Toad amiibo from the Mario Bros. series will be the only amiibo to have functionality in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. With the amiibo, there will be a pixelated Toad that the player needs to find.

With an update coming on March 20th, players can unlock various 1-Up mushrooms when they scan any other amiibo. There are no specifics as to how many times you can do this per day or per level.

My Opinion:

Though this isn’t an earth-shattering tid-bit, it is nice to actually see them incorporate more than the one amiibo that everyone is trying to get. I have yet to try Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, but the more I hear about it and the more Nintendo incorporates amiibo into various facets of their games.

  1. That should be cool for all the treasure trackers out there. Hopefully just to put more playable characters if not levels into the game. But no its not Earth Shattering, just feels meh.
