Bloodborne will be getting a much needed patch before the end of April, Sony announced this week on the PlayStation Blog.
Patch 1.03 will reduce load times, fix a memory leak issue, and provide performance optimizations. Additional unspecified fixes will also be included in the patch. The patch is targeted to go live globally before the end of the month. The patch will also require online play to be disabled for a short time.
My Opinion:
Bloodborne is an excellent game, but the load times are egregious. I’m extremely excited to be able to spend more time in Yharnam, and less time looking at the word “Bloodborne”.
Landon Peterson is an associate writer for MONG. He misplaced his hunter axe somewhere between Cathedral Ward and Yahar’Gul, Unseen Village. You haven’t seen it, have you?
Good to see this coming soon. Honestly though I am more bothered by the framerate drips than the load times. Half a minute or so is fine to wait after death, I find gamers so impatient these days. I hope the performance improvements they noted are in regards to the framerate because it could certainly be smoother!
