Thomas Happ’s love letter to gaming’s past, Axiom Verge, hits the PC on May 14th. The game will land on the Steam and Humble Stores priced at $19.99.
The Steam and Humble version of Axiom Verge will include Steam cloud saves and trading cards. There is no word on when the Vita version of Axiom Verge is dropping but it will cross buy with the PlayStation 4 version.
Axiom Verge is a retro 2D sidescroller highly influenced by Metroid and Contra. Our review claims that, it plays just as good as the classics that came before it.
My Opinion:
I still have yet to finish Axiom Verge but I am enjoying my time with it. The soundtrack and tone of the game are two my favorite aspects. It feels like it is from a couple decades ago and will probably feel right at home on the Vita.

The sound in this game is amazing. It has that lo-fi arcade feel but the low end is actually full so you get awesome feedback whenever you do anything in the game.
