The latest character to join the Street Fighter V roster has been revealed.  Announced during Games15 in Dubai, it is Rashid, an Arab character with wind based offense.  Sporting a traditional Middle Eastern headdress and a scouter straight out of DBZ, Rashid is the second brand new character to the Street Fighter universe following Necalli.

In the trailer below he is very agile, jumps, flips, and utilizes a variety of kicks to inflict damage.  Rashid can summon what appear to be tornadoes, ranging in size, to distract and punish his opponents.  Watch the trailer below to see why Rashid “of the Turbulent Wind” is a name to remember.

 

 

My Opinion:

I like the look and offense of this character.  The coolest moment for me during the reveal was when Rashid ducked and rolled underneath Ryu’s hadoken before attacking. Overall, he is more appealing to me than Necalli.  I look forward to seeing the remaining two brand new characters to join Street Fighter V and hope they are better still.
