For fans of Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends there are a slew of new and varied figures coming your way in the next few months.

Showcased at the Diamond Select Toys booth at New York Comic Con, Tails and Sonic will be getting individual GameStop exclusive PVC Statues scheduled for later this month (October 2018). Both Tails and Sonic are in beautiful stylized action poses and will cost you $50 (U.S.) each.

If these statues aren’t your style, there are also three vinimate figures – Sonic, Tails, and Eggman. This line interestingly blends the characters with mild LEGO-esque style; especially with their angular heads and stubbed hands. These figures will release in December 2018 for $10 (U.S.) each.

The final set are minimates, identical in art and molding style, but about a third of the size. The first wave releases in December 2018 while the second series releases in Summer 2019. No price was announced yet.

My Opinion:
The larger PVC Statues look amazing and almost seems like a must-have for any Sonic or Tails fan. However, I don’t find the pseudo-LEGO artstyle at all pleasing for me, but I’m sure others can enjoy them instead. Price points also seem varied and appropriate for the ones displayed and presents budgeted options for any type of fan.
