New screenshots have been released on the Japanese PlayStation Blog for the next game in the Tales series.

Tales of Zestiria is set in the “age of calamity” or the “age of evil” according to the blog. The world is full of impurities and negative energy born in the hearts of mankind and that negative energy will eventually reach a breaking point and form monsters that roam the world.

The protagonists, Slay, Alicia, and the newly announced Edna (as seen in pictures below with an umbrella) will have to fight these monsters throughout their adventure.

You can also see the characters fighting styles and some iconic mountains in the pictures below.

Tales of Zestiria is schedule for a worldwide release on PlayStation 3 sometime in 2015.

My Opinion:

For a Tales game, these screenshots look absolutely beautiful. It appears that the Tales team at Namco has done a lot of work improving the engine from Tales of Xillia. I can’t wait until 2015 when I can finally play Zestiria!
