The PlayStation 4 open beta for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn started this morning.
This means that all PlayStation 4 owners can play the MMO for free until April 7. A Realm Reborn is unique because it runs on live servers, which means that you will be playing with PS3 and PC players.
Also, if you end up buying the game after the beta, you will be able to use the character that you created this weekend.
If you already bought it on PS3 when it was released last year, you will be able to upgrade to the PS4 version for free.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be officially released for PlayStation 4 on April 14, 2014.

My Opinion:
I was one of the people who bought the game originally on the PlayStation 3, but knew I wasn’t really going to play it much until it was released on PlayStation 4. I am extremely excited to see that the release within reach finally. I may hop into the beta this weekend just to see the improvements they made. The PlayStation 3 version was fantastic last year so I am sure the PlayStation 4 version can only be better! I encourage everyone to give it a shot!
