Microsoft’s Larry Hryb, aka Major Nelson, stated on Reddit that the Xbox One will receive external storage support soon.
He wrote, “External game storage is coming soon….I need to check on media support.”
Major Nelson didn’t state when it would be coming, or how large the external storage capacity can be. The Xbox 360 only allowed up to 32 GB.
My Opinion:
With the rise of huge game installs, it has become more necessary than ever to have an enormous hard drive. So this will be nice for Xbox One users! The PlayStation 4 currently allows for users to switch out their internal hard drive so that they can upgrade their storage space; the Xbox One doesn’t. This will just be one more thing that makes the Xbox One a little bit better than it started out.
