Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is Coming this Fall

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is currently in development and will be out sometime in fall 2014 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, according to Borderlandsthegame.com.

“Shoot ‘n’ loot your way through a brand new adventure that rockets you onto Pandora’s moon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel….Discover the story behind Borderlands 2’s villain, Handsome Jack, and his rise to power” the press release reads.

According to IGN.com, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will feature four new playable characters: Athena, Wilhelm, Sheriff, and a Claptrap, all of whom are Handsome Jack employees. The game will also explore the Hyperion Space Station above Pandora.

With Tales from The Borderlands in the works by Telltale Games, Borderlands 2 coming to the PlayStation Vita, and now this, there’s plenty of RPG-style shooting slated for the future.

My Opinion

I’m conflicted. The Borderlands games have all been historically great, and I really want to grab this one when it comes out, but Aliens: Colonial Marines was a mark against Gearbox and any IP they have in the works. I no longer want to support them or their products, despite some of those products being very good.
