The upcoming co-op slasher game from Techland, Hellraid, will be coming to both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
According to IGN, Hellraid was originally supposed to be released in 2013 on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC until extensive playtesting led to the game having the combat system reworked. Now, with the current-gen versions being revealed, game modes like Arena (which throws waves of enemies that players) will benefit from the increased tech.
“Now that we can go to next gen platforms, it pulls in the quality on consoles that we have on PC,” said Techland Producer Marcin Kruczkiewicz. “[The new consoles] removes all the limits we’ve had, which is important because it brings us a new engine for animations and AI performance.”
It is still unclear when the game will be released.
My Opinion:
Well, this is great. Yay, a new game to be released on the “IndieStation 4” and the “Xbox One-Game”!!! All the arbitrary name-calling aside, I am actually really excited to see another great title come to both platforms as well as previous generation consoles and PC.
