Weekends are meant to be used strictly for gaming; at least that’s what we think anyways. So here is where you can find out all of our crazy plans for the upcoming weekend! Are you playing any of the games we are?
Courtney Osborn, Founder & Editor in Chief:
My plans are simple this weekend. Finish up Danganronpa. I may end up starting Conception II. Maybe I’ll do some live streaming while I trophy hunt in Octodad: Dadliest Catch or something if I am in the mood. If so, find me here.
Feel free to add me on PSN: osborn2009.
Lou Contaldi, Senior Editor:
Studying is still in my future. I’ve been actively chugging through Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut on the PS4, and will most likely be able to finish that up between flashcards.
Not only that but I’m working up my day count on Don’t Starve. Turns out I’m not as bad at the game as I thought I was.
If you are picking up Mario Golf: World Tour, I am deeply envious of you. However, let me know in the comments with your Nintendo Network ID, I’m going need people to play with in the summer.
Chad Waller, Editor:
I’ll be starting my weekend off like I normally do: Get drunk and play Halo 4. After that, I kind of just plan on sleeping a lot and working on side projects. I’m both tired and busy and those things are fighting each other. Tired is winning.
Shawn Richards, Editor:
So, as per usual on the weekends now, I will be working most of it, but never fear, I will be playing some awesome games. Now, I will try to play some Street Fighter X Tekken even though I am so terrible at the game that I have to set it to “So easy, a baby could beat this game” mode. Sorry, I am terrible at fighting games. When I get aggravated at that, I will play some Velocity Ultra for some more shenanigans.
If I get a chance, I will most likely play my last weekend of Towerfall before review, and possibly do some streaming of some kind. If you want to know more, find me at LittleBigHamm on everything.
Mark Merville, PC Editor:
Let’s see, another week has gone by and I still haven’t grown sick of Path of Exile. I plan to hit level 80 this weekend with my summoner, which means I’ll most likely ragequit a few times due to desync deaths. Aside from that, I’ll be checking out some Hearthstone for some of those good old Warcraft feels.
Brett Medlock, Editor:
So this past week my son was terribly sick so I didn’t get the chance to play South Park like I planned to. That’s what I’m hoping to do this week. Aside from that, I plan on purchasing Ys: Memories of Celceta on Vita, while it’s on sale during “The Golden Week”. Yesterday I started a new play-through of the Mass Effect series, so that will be a fun little time crunch. I’m so buried in RPGs right now. Three VERY different RPGs. Any-who (<– I just used the word “anywho”, is that really a word? I doubt it.) to keep up to speed on what’s happening with me just follow me @brettnll

Missing in action….
Brendan Jester, Editor:
Mostly I think I’ll be trying to start out a new character in the MMO, Vindictus since my Gold account hasn’t been renewed yet. On top of that I might be trying to start another Mass Effect 1 character to make the second game slightly better than the preselected character.
Chad Patrick, Editor:
I find myself caught between loads of school work with some hours of my job stacked on top of it. Luckily I’m still finding the time to squeeze Civilization V: Brave New World during my breaks. In fact, if it wasn’t for Civ V, I probably would’ve been done with school work yesterday.
Steven Shearer, Editor:
I never got to finish Assassins Creed IV: Freedom Cry so I’ll most likely be completing that. I might also buy Child of Light due to all the good reviews that I’m hearing about it!
Ryan Latuso, Editor:
I am currently playing Child of Light so I can review it. I won’t let myself play anything else until I finish it, hope to have a review up by next week.
Dustin LaRoe, Editor:
I just finished building my computer, so I’m going to push it to see how good a Nvidia GTX 770 graphics card really is. Now that I have a computer that isn’t six years old, I’m going to re-vist some of the great games from the past few years. I’ll be on Far Cry 3, SimCity, and Skyrim. Anyone know of some bleeding edge graphical mods for Skyrim? Let me know in the comments.
I’m going to set up my Twitch account as well. I hope I can get going streaming games. Look me up at Guy105 on Twitch and see if I figured out how to stream yet. I’ll be the second worst gamer on the site, I imagine. I’ll also be on Steam at Guy 105. And look for me on Xbox Live at Guy 105 and see if you can challenge all of my horrible track times in Trials Fusion. I finally earned the Trials Trophy and am working on my review of the game.
Benjamin Luthi, Editor:
I will be spending the entire weekend with Mario Golf: World Tour and Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Both games are releasing tomorrow. I may also do a little online play with Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, since the online servers are shutting down in less than three weeks.
I will also be watching the Super Mario Bros. movie, the star of which, Bob Hoskins, passed away earlier this week. It’s a good movie. I don’t care what anyone else says.
Myles Farrington, Editor:
At this moment in time I am in a state of poorness. All of my video game money is tied up in reservations. I’ll likely spend my weekend as I spend most of them; hanging out with friends, sleeping in late, and jumping into Warframe every now and then when a good alert pops up. I’ll eventually have something exciting to put here.
Colin Conroy, Editor:
Unfortunately, I probably won’t be doing much gaming this weekend. Between studying for finals and procrastinating, my schedule is pretty much filled. If I play anything, I’ll probably try to make a dent in my backlog. Dark Souls II looks amazing and received great reviews, so I’ll probably try and make my way through the original before throwing down sixty dollars for the new game. Don’t worry though. Finals end on Wednesday, so soon I’ll actually be able to start gaming again. Don’t hesitate to add me on PSN at Saratoga77 if you want to play together in the future.
Aaron Dobbe, Editor:
I’ll be graduating from university this weekend! Between the ceremony and the celebration I plan on starting some new games now that I (finally) got the platinum trophy for Final Fantasy X HD; I’m looking at Conception II, Mario Golf: World Tour, and Kirby Triple Deluxe. Feel free to add me on PSN (Eclns) or Miiverse (Lavos5)!
Audrey Lips, Editor:
Currently, I am dealing with some stressful roommate drama and finals. That being said, I need some unabashed, crass humor in my life–namely, South Park: Stick of Truth. I intend to protect my Jew gold while kicking nazi-zombie ass, laughing all along the way.
Mike Morrissette, Editor:
Okay, I have this problem. I really love Kingdom Hearts and I want it to be my first platinum, but I’ve gotten to the point in trophy hunting where the only thing left to do is to complete the gummy ship missions. I hate the gummy ship missions. I. Hate. Them. So this weekend I’m going to try to suck it up and just bust them all out. But let’s be honest, I’ll probably just play Hearthstone after crying profusely because gummy missions.
That’s it for all of us! What will YOU be playing this weekend?
