Nintendo Reveals Details About Super Smash Bros. Wii U Tournament

Nintendo has revealed more details about its Super Smash Bros. Wii U Tournament, which will take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on June 10th.

Sixteen Super Smash Bros. veterans will be chosen prior to the tournament. Those who wish to view the action in person can begin lining up as early as 9:30 AM on the day of the tournament. Doors open at 2:30 PM, and the fighting begins at 4:00 PM. Spectators who cosplay as Nintendo characters will be offered preferred seating in front.

A live stream of the event will be available on Nintendo’s Twitch channel.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will be available this summer, and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is scheduled to be released by the end of the year. Only the Wii U version will be played during the tournament.

My Opinion:

Nintendo is pulling out all the stops when it comes to Super Smash Bros. The Wii U’s future will rely heavily on its success, so I’m not surprised to see Nintendo promote the games as much as possible. I literally cannot wait for them to be released!
