This morning it was confirmed that The Order: 1886 will officially be delayed until next year.
“As we look to bring this experience to the players, we have decided to spend some extra time to deliver on the promise we made when we first introduced the game,” a Sony spokesperson stated. “As such, you can expect The Order: 1886 to come exclusively to the PlayStation 4 in early 2015.”
The Order: 1886 will be delayed until February 2015 according to a video game industry insider, Shinobi602, who has been right about leaks several times in the past.
A post showed up earlier on NeoGAF with both Shinobi602’s and another insider’s tweets about the delay.
The Order: 1886 was originally supposed to launch this Fall as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
This is not in the least bit surprising; I have been predicting this delay since last year. We have barely seen anything about the game other than screenshots and short clips. The Order looks to be an ambitious game, so if Ready at Dawn needs more time to make it perfect, then by all means, they can take all the time they need.
