The new Mirror’s Edge was finally shown today during EA’s E3 press conference.  

One of the developers at DICE said, “Everything is geared toward traversing and navigating this environment.” The main character, Faith, will now be able to round corners while running on walls by grabbing pipes.  Apparently, the maps will allow for more variety in routes to take.  This will give players the option to choose to take a dangerous or safe route to their destination.

Mirror’s Edge 2 will also include a “broader move set” and better combat than its predecessor in order to appeal to more players.

DICE also plans to develop Faith’s character more to let us know who she is and why she is doing what she is doing.

My Opinion:

I actually just bought the original Mirror’s Edge a few weeks ago and am excited to try it out.  Seeing this trailer makes me so much more excited.  I can’t wait to play it.
