Pac-Man Joins the Fray in Super Smash Bros.

Pac-Man joins Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man to unite what are perhaps the four most iconic characters of classic video games in the new Super Smash Bros. games.

Nintendo announced the news yesterday during the Smash Bros. roundtable. To get a look at his moves, check out the trailer below.

Considering that Bandai-Namco is helping develop the games, the addition of Pac-Man makes sense. This puts the character roster at 33 so far, with veterans like Captain Falcon and Ness still yet to be formally announced.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS launches on October 3, with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U coming this holiday.

My Opinion:

I knew it! Pac-Man is one of the most recognizable characters in video games, so it’s awesome to see him make it into Super Smash Bros. All we need now is Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden and Bub and Bob from Bubble Bobble.
