Today, Cliff Bleszinski announced on Twitter that he is coming out of retirement, and that a new game will be announced in seven days. Cliff Bleszinski has been in the video game industry since 1994 with the release of Jazz Jackrabbit for the PC developed by Epic MegaGames, which is now simply known as Epic Games.
During his time with Epic Games, he helped developed the Unreal Tournament series. In 2006 he released the first Gears of War for the Xbox 360. His last game was in 2011 with Gears of War 3 for the Xbox 360. Since then, Cliff Bleszinski hasn’t made a game, but he was always ready to tell everyone what was in his mind.
Recently Bleszinski said that he was done with disc based games, so it is assumed that whatever he announces will be a downloadable game. It’s unknown what studio he’ll be at or who the publisher will be, but given Cliff Bleszinski’s history with Epic Games, it can be assumed that they may help him release the game.
My Opinion:
I like the Gears of War trilogy quite a bit. Gears of War 2 is one of my favorite Xbox 360 exclusives. If Cliff Bleszinski is making a new game, I’m interested in seeing what the game will be.
