Shadow Warrior Reboot coming to Xbox One and PS4 in September

In a partnership with Devolver Digital and Majesco Entertainment, Flying Wild Hog’s reboot of 3D Realms’ first person shooter game Shadow Warrior will be coming to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Devolver Digital distributing the game digitally and Majesco Entertainment in charge of retail distribution.

The news was announced in a post on Devolver Digital’s blog. The reboot is the modern iteration of the original Shadow Warrior released back in 1997.

The game tells the story of Zilla Enterprise’s corporate shogun, Lo Wang, who is ordered by his employer to track down and acquire a legendary blade. Upon learning of the blade’s connection to ancient gods from another realm, he is forced into a battle pushing the world to the brink of destruction.

The game is scheduled for a release in late September this year.

My Opinion:

It is nice for games to be re-released on the newest generation of consoles but developers need to make it worth it. I haven’t played the game yet so I’ll hold off buying the game until I know more about it.
