In an interview with PlayStation Lifestyle, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s lead designer, Miles Tost, announced that the developer currently has no plans to re-release previous entries of The Witcher trilogy for PlayStation consoles.
In the interview, Tost said that the company also has no plans to release a ‘The Witcher Collection’ and that CD Projekt RED is fully committed on the development of both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and their upcoming sci-fi action role playing title Cyberpunk 2077.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the concluding entry to TheWitcher series which follows the story of the Witcher Geralt of Rivia.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is scheduled to be released on February 24, 2015 after the game was previously delayed.
My Opinion:
I totally understand CD Projekt RED in committing to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Cyberpunk 2077. I want both games to be the best they can be and personally I found CD Projekt RED to be a developer who is passionate about producing the highest quality gaming experience as they can. When The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is released next year, I believe the possibility of re-releasing the previous entries of the series will then be a viable option to the developer but right now, it shouldn’t be a priority.

That kind of sucks, but I also understand. I hope there is a detailed video before you start the game to show you what happened in the previous game. Kind of like what EA did to Mass Effect 2.
