Thursday night was an exciting time for Doom fans everywhere.  The gameplay for the new peg in the series was revealed in a twenty minute clip.  Recording devices were not allowed at the revealing, so we are unsure of a few things.  However, GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley was pumping out tweets on his Twitter account during the event.

Could this possibly mark a new kind of Doom, mingled with new mechanics?  Reports from other sources suggest that the title goes back to its roots with its 90s style gameplay.  The one thing that we do know about the new Doom is that it has caught our attention.

My Opinion:

My favorite tweet from Geoff Keighley says “Forget key cards. Player just ripped arm off guard to scan his fingers on a hand scanner.”  The teaser trailer above has me so excited.  I can’t wait to face the demons of hell once again!  My question to you is this: Would you like to see Duke Nukem on id tech 6?  Answer in the panel below.
