Twitter user @SteamDB posted a picture of a potential new configuration of Valve’s Steam controller which features a new analog stick.
This configuration was buried in the Steam Beta client, according to PC Gamer. They speculated that this is an indication that Valve is attempting to make the controller more versatile.
My Opinion:
If this is an indication of the direction Valve is heading, I’m all for it. I like the fact that Valve is both revolutionizing the control input for PC gaming, and still listening to feedback and criticism. I really can’t wait to get my hands on one of these controllers, whatever configuration they end up having. Mouse and keyboard controls may be the most precise for gaming, but they are the least comfortable control setup I’ve ever used. Bring on the revolution.
