The Walking Dead Season 3 is Confirmed at SDCC

In a recent panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, Telltale Games Studio announced that The Walking Dead series will receive a third season. However, all details about the next season have been vague.

Kevin Bruner, co-founder of Telltale Games, and Robert Kirkman have announced at SDCC that following the finale of Season 2 of The Walking Dead, a third season will be released. This news has also been confirmed on Telltale’s official Twitter account.

It is currently unknown if Clementine will be a playable character, but this is unsurprising as the final episode of Season 2 has yet to come out. For now, with both the Tales of the Borderlands and Game of Thrones series currently being worked on, it seems like Telltale may have it’s hands full. It appears highly unlikely there will be any more news about the third season at this time.

The finale of The Walking Dead Season 2, Episode 5:No Going Back“, is planned to be released by the end of 2014.

My Opinion:

I feel this news is somewhat surprising. With the finale of the current season still yet to be released it feels like Telltale is preparing fans for something in the finale that could make fans question that possibility. If so, this could mean fans might be in for a surprise sometime soon.
