The LGBT community has found themselves some support in the Swedish retailer Webhallen. Webhallen recently sold a console which has been dubbed the “GayStation” for the sole purpose of supporting the RSFL charity, known for their support of the LGBT community.
We can all see that this is easily the most flamboyant PlayStation 4 ever, possibly also the priciest as it moved for 28,300 Swedish kroner ($4,118). Bad news, if you want this sweet paint job on your new PS4 you may be out of luck. There’s no information on if Webhallen (or anyone else) is going to be making another one.
My Opinion:
I think this GayStation looks awesome. It’s minimalistic and very appealing aesthetically. Stripes and a pixel heart? That’s great! If not for that hefty price tag, I would buy a console sporting this custom paint job on it. That’s saying something, due to my usual apathy toward the subject of going out of my way to make my box look special. On top of that, the profits are supporting a good cause and Webhallen is practically stomping their foot down on the right side of history with this move. Webhallen, readers, Sony, stay fabulous.
