A release window for the sequel to Square Enix’s sleeper hit, Bravely Default, was announced yesterday during Japan’s Nintendo Direct along with a new trailer. The next entry is entitled Bravely Second.
The trailer released yesterday shows off the art style and some of the combat. It also appears that Bravely Second will feature some of the same characters from the first, including Agnes Oblige.
Bravely Second is slated for a Winter release in Japan on the Nintendo 3DS, while a western release has yet to be announced.
My Opinion:
Bravely Default sold a lot better than predicted, so this news doesn’t come as a surprise. The first one was an excellent JRPG that felt like a return to form for Square Enix. If Bravely Second stays true to its predecessor than I am on board for this sequel.
