The Behemoth is one of the few companies that can put out a trailer, have it tell little about their title and still make me smile. Why am I smiling? It looks like the still unnamed Game 4 is keeping the aesthetics, customization, zanny-ness and most importantly the announcer from Battleblock Theater. That’s just wonderful.
As if giving gamer’s a slow IV drip of fun, The Behemoth has been releasing information about Game 4 little by little. At PAX Prime 2014, people had the chance to play a demo, while everyone else got this nifty trailer. Check it out!
Yeah, I don’t know what was happening either, but the clear points are that Game 4 will feature:
- Co-op shenanigans
- Turn-based strategy gameplay
- Team customization
- The nonsensical fun times that all The Behemoth titles have brought to gamers
My Opinion:
For some odd reason, I’ve never been excited for a Behemoth game before, even though I’ve loved every single one I’ve played (save for Alien Hominid). Regardless, I’m going to pick Game 4 up for sure, even if it actually comes out and is named Game 4. The Behemoth’s games just have the very impressive skill of keeping me laughing and happy the whole way through; that and I’m a sucker for co-op as everyone knows. It’s a big departure for The Behemoth to reach into the Strategy genre (their games having been side-scrolling beat-em’-ups and platformers up until now), but I have every ounce of confidence that they’ll blow gamers out of the water with Game 4!
