Dragon Quest Heroes is a spinoff that will depart from its JRPG roots in favor of a Dynasty Warriors styled hack-and-slash game. The game is being developed by Omega Force, a developer known for games of this nature.
Along with the launch of Dragon Quest Heroes, Sony will release a silver PlayStation 4 with the metal slime character printed on the console and controller.
Dragon Quest Heroes will be out in Japan sometime in 2015. A western release has yet to be announced.
It has been awhile since we have a gotten a Dragon Quest game for consoles, so this is exciting news. However, I think most fans, including myself, would prefer a Dragon Quest game that follows suit of the originals.
